Nothing, because the idea of the "highest self" is a myth....there's no big moral person in there competing for space with your narcissism....the Witness is not a vocal messanger at all....the Witness Self is the Open Ground in which who you think you are happens....and as such, the Open Ground is silent stone to the wet babbling plash of the narissistic self.....

The more I attune to identifying with this open ground... whose nature is luminous emptiness..the more this meandering stream of me-thoughts gets sluiced into a culvert of mindful self-containment and the spaces-between thought moments which surround-and-contain thoughts become numinously evident...this awakens compassion, which is a reaction to the felt sense of emptiness..and so I don't think that there is a 'message' as such as in Your Angel Ding-Dongs the doorbell of your heart....rather, it's the sluicing away of the animal wildness that shapes our nature in favour of feeling the essence of the water that is always there to be bathed in.
