What are you being a voice for?

I am being a voice for Voice....no preceding definite article for that Monika cos that's All There Is...a Kosmos by any other name would onehandclap as sweet....

Anyway, here's some Tantric Kosmology comin' at ya....and this is all kosher stuff regardless of the crazy vocal expression of it...

Shiva and Shakti (form and emptiness, matter and spirit, nature and consciousness) lie on their backs after the Kosmic Fuck..feeling  what you feel when your predatory path to the Connubial Bed on the meditation cushion pays you karmic dividends and you drop into Nirvikalpa Samadhi....anyway, here's  Shakti puffing on the postcoital lingam-shaped cigarette and sort of going "aaaaaaaaahhhhhhh" as Shiva plants a kiss on Her neck, reminding Her that He's still there, although separate from Her.....the sigh is shorthand for "that was drekking immaculate, Shives-babe" and the sound-waves of this sigh...carrying the memory of this  Singular Coupling..the sound-waves condense out as the Manifest Kosmos...the sigh is shabda-brahman...the ultimate ground from which all sound arises....

Now sound has a vibration which is called spanda...and this is to be distinguished from the meaning or signifier-aspect of the sigh...spanda is a key concept in Kashmiri Shaivism where the Absolute is thought / felt to be  a dynamic, creative thang....SivaShakti rolling around on the bed like tigers on vaseline....the throbbing thrum which is what powers up the whole of Kosmos from one moment to the next...the Thumb which flicks the flicker-book and gives the thrilling illusion of time...(The Kashmiris didn't write about signifiers...linguistics only came in the last century....).....

Anyway, this Shakti spanda aaaaahhhhh....it condenses out...first as para-shabda.....supreme sound....which resonates as an F Flat in the muladhara chakra just above your perineum...that sound...which most folk get when relaxed enough to hear it (I first got it about ten years ago on retreat and it's never gone away...sort of a drone...Ajahn Sumedho refers to it as the "Sound of Silence")...that sound is a sort of condensed reverberation of para-shabda and nada-yoga... which you get in the late mediaeval Tantric Upanishads... is all about how to use this as a meditational device, ultimately for kundalini arousal....these days, the term nada-yoga refers mainly to kirtan or sacred songsinging....which is a bit of a perversion of the original meaning to tantric purists, I'm sure....meself, I'm always up for a spot of perversion....anyway, that's para-shabdha...

Then there's pashyanti-shabda....this is the first sound which moves out of the formless causal to shape the lower planes...this is the pranava....or Om sound... the experience of the Sri Yantra which emanates all those groovy triangles from the bindu point in the middle..the bindu being the seat of para-shabdha...from this the manifest shiva/shakti triangles which intersect.....it's a sort of picture Shiva carries around in His wallet to remind him of Shakti when He's at work in The Office, keeping The Thang going.....a memory of that morning's immaculate fuck....the Sri Yantra is the visual representation of the fulminating Om...get somebody who knows how to sound the pranava...feed it through a vocoder and vibrate the result on a metal plate patina'd with iron filings and...whoa...freaky...you get a perfect Sri Yantra.....

Then there's madhyama-shabda....which is a little coarser, vibrationally...the fifty characters of the Sanskrit alphabet are said to each correspond to a varna...or vibrational value (as opposed to signifier) which means that when you string a few of these together and say them out loud or internally to yourself with strong attention you get some sort of personal resonance with  the compound-varna (bit like a compound Germanic noun only it's about subtle vibration not semantics)...and this resonance and these utterances....yep it's Mantra-yoga time!!!!! intoned correctly, sound used in this way can attune you  to the high subtle, then causal realm through mindful repetition (for maximum results in mantra, get yourself Diksha'd...that's where an obliging guru (shorthand word for somebody who started before you did) tunes into your esssence at the pashyanti level and gives you the mantra-most-likely-to.....and you have to intone it correctly to resonate with that thar vasana or kosmic groove (Swedenborg called this the "time-body")...so as to Take You Into the sound's Source.....

Finally vaikhara-shabda...this is the realm of manifest speech which is what we do...most of us..when we shoot the breeze in good old lebsenwelt.....

Four levels of Shakti's postcoital Sigh then.....this is the Voice....and this written vaikhara-shabda which you may be subvocalising as you read...if you're still reading....o fucking hell look at the time...got carried away!!!!!......anyway everything that's ever said / came out of that Kosmic bed.
