How beautiful Jon, to escort your precious mother to a place beyond this. What a gift. I too had that priviledge. You carry with you, as your life, the honor of this great woman. Thank you.
Reading your account of your mothers passing away was a very moving experience for me Jon. Beautifully written.
It brought back memories ofmy being the only family member present as my beloved grandmother lay dying in a hospital bed many years ago. Her own two children ( my mother and my uncle) preferred to stay away and remember her as she was…seemed very strange to me at the time.
What a beautiful meeting and farewell for you with your Beloved
I think one of the most amazing things about Mothers' Day is that in thinking about, remembering, and celebrating the love of our mothers, we are touched with love and expand it outward to others…something I wish we all could remember to do every single day! Thank you for sharing this story Jon. You have given us all a gift.
Thank you for sharing John, it is a gift to be able to share such moments, and sad that so many die alone. When I was nursing I always made every effort to see that didn't happen. In sudden death it is hard not to have a chance to say our goodbyes.
Hi Gael….yes… I, as a mental health nurse, only had the suicides to process on the wards, you must have seen more….often,we didn't see it coming and kicked ourselves unnecessarily about it….that's the thing about suicides…the survivors end up bearing the karma of processing the suicidees emotions for them…Jon x

This was beautifully written Jon. Riveting. A deep and intensely personal share that held me in the palm of your hand.
Some relationships can be summed up in precise moments that offer us a deeper knowing.
I thank you for your share. It was beautiful.
Bowing…

Thank you for the warm wishes.

May you die to your self before physical death.

Thank you Jon. Your tribute to your mother speaks of her, and it speaks of you, both in wonderful voice.
And in return, thank you folks…for yr support and noble words.
My mother was not perfect but she did the very best she could weighed down by her own personal sandbags as she was.
Like the rest of us, she had her feet in the merdes and her crown in the stars.
And isn't that like the Great Mother who, as Neumann and many other key Jungians asset, aspire to the great Goddess through mirrored resonance?
Warmly, Jon xx
