Who was the last person you spoke to?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 03, 2008:
That would be Tam last night on the phone after work...she moves in with me today!!!!!!....first time in eight years I've cohabited....
And I must say that I'm feeling my age....last time around it was 1986 and I was engaged to be married to Louise....I was full of codependent yearnings back then...a kalaidoscope of romanticised pish-posh.....in this day and age, refreshingly free of this sort of trammeling pain, I confess to a major concern as to how we are going to fit all our libraries into this small space.....today I shift books and DVDs and CDs in the hope that enough of them will magically disappear...
Apart from such hyperinflated anality (good term, that imho)...well...Tam is the love of my life sans doubt and I am truely blessed...must have stopped a war or given my life up for a mosquito or something in a previous incarnation to deserve her....here I am at the end of this paragraph and now i don't give a toss about silly ole books....
And Poppy the Wonder Dog comes to wage perpetual war on who sits in the centre of the beanbag come eveningtime....she's a licker, too and slimes yer face on impulse from time to time just as what is on the screen has pulled me in....>slurp..come back Jon<...and I don't even mind that....

here I am to send some well wishes. better late than never eh? cohabitating with the right person can be such a joy. even on the days when adam and I are both sick of living with the biggest slobs ever –that would be both of us and our dogs and our new roomie… even on those days… I'd still rather live in the big messiness than live all alone. but I do enjoy the time when I get the house all to myself and I can light a candle, read a book or take a bath or just sit there and be quiet. oh – cohabitation even makes my alone time better. :-) best good wishes to you all! -d
